Project Purpose
- Identified methodology improvements for delivering the “Symptom Management” curriculum.
- Transformed this leader-led course into an asynchronous e-learning training.
Project Goals
- Investigate the most effective learning methodologies for delivering the “Symptom Management” curriculum.
- Recall general guidelines for symptom management.
- Demonstrate the use of tools available for symptom management.
- Recognize how non-pain symptoms affect a patient psychosocially and spiritually.
- For each of the following symptoms: Dyspnea, Nausea/Vomiting, Constipation, Diarrhea, Delirium, Anorexia, Insomnia, and Fatigue
- Identify what causes the symptom in an end-of-life patient.
- Explain how to assess this symptom.
- Describe discipline specific non-pharmacological and pharmacological management for this symptom.

Project Deliverables (Project is in the development phase)
- Ten stand-alone e-learning modules on Symptom Management (10 minutes each and covering a different symptom)
- Each will include a scenario-based activity and assessment
- The e-Learning is SCORM and LMS accessible
